Randy and I had a great anniversary visit this week. The weather was wonderful, even better than summer weather! The locals say that the wind doesn't blow in the winter, unless a storm is moving through. Unlike the summer, where it blows almost all the time. The temperature was in the mid 50's, and I always find that I wish I had brought a pair of capri pants to kick around the condo in.
The pictures I posted earlier included the art that we finally got up on the walls. Only one more piece to go.
Salmon fishing is over, so the boat traffic on the water was greatly decreased. Still, I saw a seal a day cruising the river for fish. The big sighting was a pack of river otters heading up stream. I usually only see 1 or 2 at a time. This day I caught sight of 8-9 otters swimming together, near shore. The were swimming like dolphins so that most of thime only 4-5 of them were visible at a time. At one point they all surfaced and I counted as fast as I could. Really cool!!! Someday, when I have a better camera, I might be able to get a picture of them.
Having a view of the river has been a true joy. I thought I might miss the fact that I couldn't watch the ocean, but I don't. So many interesting happen on the river, I don't think I'll ever get bored of it.
Cheers, until next time. CMH
